Help Desk Specialist

Impact Technology Group is a customer-centric, service-oriented technology company. We provide outsourced IT services to small/medium sized businesses in the Birmingham, AL area.

We are always looking to add talented candidates to our team. Our ideal candidates thrive in our fast-paced environment. We are looking for service-oriented individuals with positive attitudes and that communicate effectively. We value individuals who are self-starters and do not require micro-management.

We are looking to add a Help Desk Specialist to our team. This is the first line of contact for our customers. As such, the customer service must be top notch. The ability to quickly diagnose and direct the requests to appropriate staff is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound support line
  • Respond quickly to IT support tickets submitted via email or ticketing system
  • Triage incoming tickets and escalate if necessary
  • Troubleshoot issues remotely if possible – including user account lockouts, password resets and Microsoft Windows and Office issues

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Experience troubleshooting Microsoft operating system and peripherals is preferred
  • Experience with Active Directory is a plus
  • Experience with G-Suite and/or Office 365 is a plus
  • A certification is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
